WILSON, N.C. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (4-6) dropped both their matchups today with Mercyhurst University (5-3) and Ohio Dominican University (2-9) in Wilson, North Carolina.

Game 1: L, 11-4

The Bald Eagles took an early 3-0 lead on the Lakers after a
Mike O'Halloran (Monmouth Beach, N.J./Shore Regional (Ocean CC)) hit an RBI single in the third inning and
Jake Mastillo (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) walked in an RBI in the fourth inning.

The lead was short-lived, however, as the Lakers stormed back in the fifth and sixth innings to take a 5-3 lead. Mercyhurst continued to rack up runs including a four run ninth inning as they pulled away for the 11-4 victory.

Santino Nave (Philadelphia/ Roman Catholic) got the start for LHU and pitched five strong innings allowing just two earned runs and striking out four.

Game 2: L, 14-2
Â
In game two, the Panthers jumped on the Bald Eagles early and led 3-0 in the first inning. ODU did not look back and pushed their lead to 12-1 in the fourth inning, before bringing home the 14-2 win.

O'Halloran added another hit to bring his total to three for the day along with two RBIs and one walk.
Isaac Porter (Beech Creek, Pa./ St. Bonaventure) went 2-2 in the game and also added one of the Bald Eagle RBIs.
Joey Lowen (Pittsburgh/Mount Lebanon (Onondaga CC)) added the other Bald Eagle run on a sacrifice fly in the second inning.

Lock Haven will return to action tomorrow Sunday, March 8 against Shepherd. That game is set for an 11:00 a.m. first pitch.
