WILSON, N.C. –The Lock Haven University baseball team (4-7) fell to Shepherd (11-7) on Sunday afternoon in Wilson, North Carolina, 11-1. The game today does not count against the teams Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) record.
Shepherd jumped on Lock Haven early getting out to a two run lead in the home half of the first inning via a Daniel Keer two RBI single.
The Bald Eagles would get one back on their next trip to the plate. In the top of the second inning,
Joey Lowen (Pittsburgh/Mount Lebanon (Onondaga CC)) knocked home
Quin Ambeault (Greencastle, Pa./ Greencastle Antrim (Frostburg)) on an RBI groundout scoring Ambeault from third who initially reached base on a single up the middle.
Shepherd was able to stretch their lead to 6-1 after four innings then pulling away in the later innings.
Ambeault enjoyed a nice day at the plate going 3 for 3 with three singles.
Devyn Fahnestock (Matamores, Pa./ Delaware Valley) got the start today for the Bald Eagles striking out four batters over four innings.

Lock Haven will be back in action tomorrow Monday, March 9 against Virginia State. That game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
