LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (3-6) fell to host Rider University (8-2), 2-1, Sunday (October 3) afternoon in non-conference action.
Julia Divorra scored the game-winning goal for Rider in the 39
th minute.
The hosts took a 1-0 lead late in the first quarter on a goal by Alyssa Hoffman, but Lock Haven tied the contest early in the second quarter.
Constanza Lopez Zabala (Buenos Aires, Argentina/ Colegio Martin y Omar) scored for the Bald Eagles and
Zhao Rodrigo (Valencia, Spain/Colegio San Bartoleme) was credited with the assist on the LHU tally.
Lopez Zabala finished the game with two shots while Rodrigo led Lock Haven with four shots.

Joaquina Orlandini (Concordia, Argentina/San Antonio School) made four saves.
LHU held a slight advantage in corners at 8-6 and Rider outshot Lock Haven, 9-6.
Lock Haven will return to action on Friday October 8 vs. nationally-ranked Saint Joseph's. It will mark the first of three straight Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) contests for LHU.
