MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (3-17, 1-9 PSAC) fell to Millersville University (10-17, 4-6 PSAC), 3-0, (25-22, 25-16 & 25-9) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action on Saturday afternoon.

Millersville slipped past the Bald Eagles in a close 25-22 first set, and the Maruaders capitalized off the momentum to sweep the second and third sets for the straight-set victory.

Souadou Bangoura (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Twp. (Lincoln Trail)) led the Bald Eagle offensive effort, notching eight kills on the day.

On the defensive side, a trio of LHU players registered eight or more digs as
Kelly Gaston (Centennial, Colo./Grandview) and
Ella McBride (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) Â each chipped in eight, while
Grace Hugar (Clarence, Pa./Bald Eagle) tallied nine. Gaston added four kills, while Hugar tallied an impressive five service aces.

Gaston also handed out 16 assists for The Haven offense.
