The LHU women’s soccer team fell on the road today (Oct. 31), in double-overtime action vs. East Stroudsburg

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (5-10-1, 3-10-1 PSAC East) fell on the road to East Stroudsburg University (9-6-1, 7-6-1 PSAC East), 0-1, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action

The game remained deadlocked after the first half despite 15 total shots and eight total saves. In similar fashion, the second half ended in a stalemate after an additional 16 shots and 11 saves. Despite the shootout, neither team could land a go-ahead goal.

The trend continued through the first overtime period and the contest remained scoreless. In the second overtime period, ESU's Natalie Schooley was able to send a ball into the net in the 103rd minute.

After the first ninety minutes of regulation, the contest seemed like a goalkeeper's clinic. Lock Haven goalie Kylie Auman (Centre Hall, Pa./Penns Valley Area) logged nine saves in the first 90 minutes of regulation and would finish the game with 10 saves on 20 shots faced.

Evelyn Ciaccia (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) and Hunter McClellan (Grantville Summit, Pa./Troy) did their all to generate offense, logging four and three shots respectively.
