The women’s soccer was edged out on the road today in PSAC east action, narrowly falling to nationally-ranked Kutztown

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (3-5-1, 1-5-1 PSAC East) looked poised for an upset today on the road, but were edged out, 2-1, by No. 3 Kutztown University (10-0, 8-0 PSAC East) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern division action.

Kutztown went ahead early in the first half, 1-0. The score stood until the 60th minute when Sydney Stahl (Pittsburgh/Keystone Oaks) took an assist from Evelyn Ciaccia (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) and delivered it past the KU goalie to tie the game at 1-1.

In the 68th minute, Kutztown scored the go-ahead goal and held on to come away with the 2-1 win.
