EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (2-13, 0-5 PSAC East) dropped a road Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup to East Stroudsburg University (7-8, 4-1 PSAC East), 3-0, (25-23, 25-11 & 25-15) on Saturday night.

The first set between Warriors and Bald Eagles was hotly contested, but the Warriors scraped away a 25-23 win. Riding the momentum of the opening set, East Stroudsburg took control in the second and third set pulling away for the win in straight sets.

Offensively,
Gabriela Fialova (Ledec nad Sazavou, Czech Republic/ (Indian River)) and
Grace Hugar (Clarence, Pa./Bald Eagle) chipped in eight and six kills, respectively.

Fialova also added a team-high 13 digs on the defensive end.
Regan Happ (Lighthouse Point, Fla./Westminster Academy) and Hugar both notched nine digs in the LHU defensive effort.

Kelly Gaston (Centennial, Colo./Grandview) handed out 21 assists for the Bald Eagles, while
Ella McBride (Arlington Heights, Ill./Buffalo Grove) and
Madison Goodwin (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle Antrim) each tallied a service ace.

LHU returns to the Thomas Fieldhouse on Friday, October 15 to host Shepherd University. The game, set for a 7 p.m. start, also serves as the Dig Pink Night for LHU Volleyball.
