BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (5-17, 5-17 PSAC East) fell to Bloomsburg University (15-11, 15-11 PSAC East) by scores of 10-6  and 10-4 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East division matchup.

Game 1: L, 10-6

The Haven jumped out to an early lead on the Huskies in the top half of the second inning when
Joe Shannon (Warminster, Pa./ William Tennent (Mercer CC)) laced an RBI double to right field.
Mike O'Halloran (Monmouth Beach, N.J./Shore Regional (Ocean CC)) drove in Shannon later that inning on a single to left to give the Bald Eagles a 2-0 lead. Bloomsburg responded in each of the remaining innings in the game scoring ten across five innings.
Blaise Zeiders (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) launched a two-run home run in the sixth, and O'Halloran scored on a Bloomsburg error as the Haven tried to cut into the Bloomsburg lead.
Jake Mastillo (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) scored on a wild pitch in the top half of the seventh inning, but the Huskies closed out the win by a 10-6 score line. Lawlor and
Gavin Troutman (Oley Valley, Pa./Catholic Oley Valley) led LHU in hits as each collected two in the opening game.

Game 2: L, 10-4

LHU plated a run in each of the first two innings as Lawlor and Shannon took advantage of fielding errors by the Huskies. The Huskie offense, however, picked up right where they left off and plated runs in five straight innings to take a 10-2 lead. In the top of the sixth inning, Shannon continued his strong day driving in two runs on a bases loaded single for his third hit of the day.
Justin Lichtenwalner (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) also notched two hits in game two, but the Huskies held their 10-4 advantage to the final.

The Bald Eagles continue their weekend series with Bloomsburg tomorrow (May 2) when they return home to host the Huskies with first pitch scheduled for 12:00 and 2:30 p.m.
