WASHINGTON – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (1-4) fell to Georgetown University (3-4), 1-0, in overtime today on the road at Cooper Field in Washington, D.C.

Joaquina Orlandini (Concordia, Argentina/San Antonio School) did all she could to help keep Lock Haven in the game. She finished with 10 saves and four of those 10 stops came in OT.
With 2:29 left in the first overtime period, the Hoyas found the game-winner when Emma Street knocked one home.
After a scoreless 60 minutes of regulation, LHU turned it up early in overtime as the Bald Eagles looked to rally for the road victory. Five of six total Lock Haven shots came in overtime.
Amy Stevens (Castle Creek, N.Y./Whitney Point) led the way as she created several good scoring chances for the Bald Eagles.
LHU will return to action on Friday, September 24 when the Bald Eagles take on Saint Louis on the road in Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) action.
