SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. –The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (7-8,4-7 PSAC) came up just short against Shippensburg (9-7,5-5 PSAC) 52-59 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
Lock Haven kept the game close in the first half and finished the first quarter down by a 14-10 score. The Bald Eagles trailed in the first half 28-23. LHU's bench was strong and contributed 22 points compare to 14 from the Raiders bench.
The Bald Eagles had an impressive start to the second half of the game shooting 50 percent as a team in the third quarter. The defense of the Bald Eagles kept them in the game, and snagged six steals in the game.
Audrey Weigl (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) led Lock Haven with 16 points as she helped keep the Bald Eagles in the game.
Ahnera Parker (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) had 10 points on the afternoon.
Carly Fitzmorris (Hamburg, N.J./Pope John XXIII) grabbed three of the steals for Lock Haven.
