WEST CHESTER, Pa. –The Lock Haven University women's basketball team (8-9, 5-8 PSAC) dropped a road matchup to West Chester University (6-10, 4-6 PSAC), 59-53, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Wednesday night.

West Chester got off to a fast start and led by 17 points at the end of the first quarter. Strong shooting helped propel the Golden Rams to a 30-14 lead at the halftime break.

After the third quarter, the Golden Rams led 41-23 and looked poised to bring home the win, but the Bald Eagles mounted a comeback attempt in the fourth quarter.

The Haven fought back to cut the lead down to as little as four points late in the second half, but West Chester held on in the final minutes to bring home the win 59-53.

Ahnera Parker (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) finished the game with 16 points, and hauled in 15 total rebounds.

Carly Fitzmorris (Hamburg, N.J./Pope John XXIII) put up eight in the second half of the game to finish with a total of 10 points and five assists.

Jaynelle Robinson (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) grabbed a game-high 17 rebounds, and
Brooke Lawyer (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) chipped in 10 points to round out the Bald Eagle scoring.
