LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven volleyball team (1-15, 1-4 PSAC East) fell to visiting East Stroudsburg (10-8, 4-1 PSAC East), 3-0, (25-17, 25-10 & 25-22) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action on Saturday night in Thomas Fieldhouse.

The Warriors started strong in the opening set and pulled away late for the 25-17 win. East Stroudsburg used the momentum to pull away for a 25-10 win in the second set, and closed out the action in a tight 25-22 final set.

Gabriela Fialova (Ledec nad Sazavou, Czech Republic/ (Indian River)) put up a solid night offensively and notched a game-high 12 kills on a .241 hitting percentage. The senior outside-hitter also added seven digs defensively.

On the defensive side,
Kelly Gaston (Centennial, Colo./Grandview) got the start at libero and led the Bald Eagles with 13 digs.
Kaitlyn Houck (Tyrone, Pa./Tyrone) also chipped in double-figure digs with 10 of her own.

Freshman setter
Mandy Altsman (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) tallied a game-high 20 assists and added in two service aces.

The Haven hits the road on Friday, October 7 for a PSAC Eastern division contest against Shepherd. That match is slated for a 7 p.m. first serve.
