LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven volleyball team (1-21, 1-10 PSAC East) hosted Shepherd University (17-6, 9-2 PSAC East) on Friday night in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action, which saw the Rams take the conference match, 3-1 (25-16, 20-25, 25-13, 25-13).
 
Shepherd handled the first set cleanly, taking the first nine of ten points. The Rams went on to take an early lead, winning set one, 25-16.
 
Lock Haven retaliated with Maggie Rafferty (Palmdale, Calif./Highland) and Gabriela Fialova (Ledec nad Sazavou, Czech Republic/ (Indian River)) combining for seven kills to help The Haven win the second set 25-20.
 
The Rams responded early in the third, grabbing six straight points to help return the lead back to the visitors, winning set three 25-13.
 
Set four saw Shepherd finish out the night, claiming victory by winning the final set 25-13.
 
Fialova led the team with 10 kills, planting her 11^th game this season with double-digit kills. Kelly Gaston (Centennial, Colo./Grandview) posted a team-highs in both assists with 30 and service aces with 2.
 
The Rams combined for 21 blocks and had 25 assists in the match,

The Haven will be right back in action at Thomas Fieldhouse tomorrow (Oct. 30) night with a 5 p.m. contest against Shippensburg. That game also serves as Senior Night for the Bald Eagles.
