SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (1-17, 1-6 PSAC East) took on Shippensburg (11-10, 4-3 PSAC East) in their second Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division match of the weekend. The Raiders took the match, 3-1 (25-18, 22-25, 25-21 & 25-21).

In the opening set, Shippensburg took an early lead and was able to notch a first set win, 25-18. The Bald Eagles bounced back and responded strongly with a 25-22 win in the second set.

Shippensburg regained control of the match and won the third and fourth sets by identical 25-21 scores.

Gabriela Fialova (Ledec nad Sazavou, Czech Republic/ (Indian River)) led all players with 15 kills. She also added 10 digs and a block on the day.

Defensively,
Madison Eckley (Julian, Pa./Bald Eagle) stacked up a team-high 19 digs for Lock Haven.
Alyssa Daley (Everett, Pa./Everett) contributed with a team-best three blocks

Kelly Gaston (Centennial, Colo./Grandview) finished the afternoon with 28 assists and 12 digs.
