ALTOONA, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's tennis team (1-0) cruised to a win in their opening dual match of the season versus Penn State Altoona (0-4), 9-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

At No. 1 doubles,
Maddy Reeves (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville (Shippensburg)) and
Mia Shuler (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) teamed up for a dominant 8-0 win.
Olivia Anastos (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain (Cal. (Pa.)) and
Delani Wolever (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) also combined for a shutout 8-0 victory at No. 2, and
Christy McLean (Jim Thorpe, Pa/Jim Thorpe) joined forces with
Olivia Sharp (York, Pa/York County School of Technology) for an 8-1 victory to hand Lock Haven all three doubles points.

The Bald Eagle sweep continued in the singles action as LHU took home all six points to cement the 9-0 win.

Reeves notched another win for herself at No. 1 singles and defeated Rachel Stricek 6-0 & 6-1. Shuler took home a win by opponent retirement at No. 2 after a hot start to the contest, and Anastos brought home a 6-1 & 6-1 victory over Stephanie Swain at No. 3.

After dropping the opening set 6-0 at No. 4, Wolever responded in style to pick up the come from behind victory over Lydia Irvin, taking the second and third sets 6-1 & 10-6. McLean also notched an impressive win against Isabella Rhoades 6-0 & 6-1 at No. 5.

Mary Kathryn Hillman (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport (Penn College)) was awarded a win by forfeit at No. 6 singles.
