WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's tennis team (2-0) picked up a convincing road win over Lycoming (1-3), 6-3, on Tuesday evening in a road non-conference dual match.

Since the program's reintroduction as a varsity sport in 2019, the 2-0 mark stands as the best start for the Bald Eagles.

In No. 1 doubles action,
Maddy Reeves (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville (Shippensburg)) and
Mia Shuler (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) rolled to an 8-2 win to get Lock Haven started on the right foot.
Christy McLean (Jim Thorpe, Pa/Jim Thorpe) and
Olivia Sharp (York, Pa/York County School of Technology) finished the job at No. 3 doubles with an 8-6 battle to secure the doubles point for LHU.
Reeves continued her strong start at No. 1 singles with a 6-2 & 6-1 victory over Hannah Seebold. Shuler also notched a convincing 6-1 & 6-1 win at No. 2 as the Bald Eagles began to pull away.

At No. 4 singles,
Delani Wolever (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) picked up 6-1 & 6-2 win, and at No. 6 singles,
Mary Kathryn Hillman (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport (Penn College)) wrapped things up with a 6-2 & 6-3 victory as LHU brought home the 6-3 win.
