LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven field hockey team (4-8, 2-3 A-10) fell to visiting VCU (11-2, 4-1 A-10), 5-0, this afternoon in Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) action.
Preseason All-Conference selection
Martina Spangenberg (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Piaget) did all she could to spark the Lock Haven attack. She had three first-quarter shots and finished with five total shots.
Bald Eagle goalkeeper
Kelsey Felix (Hallam, Pa./Eastern York) recorded six saves.
Brooke Hofsass (Hershey, Pa./Lower Dauphin) turned in a notable effort.
The visiting Rams led 1-0 at halftime, but struck for four goals in the second half. Mora Marrero led VCU with a two-goal effort.

Lock Haven will return to action Sunday, Oct. 15 at Kent State. The non-conference contest is set for a 12 p.m. start.
