The Bald Eagles traveled to Kent State University on Sunday afternoon and fell in the non-conference contest, 3-1.

KENT, Ohio – The Lock Haven field hockey team (4-9) scored a late goal but fell to Kent State University (5-9), 3-1, in a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 15).

Alyssa Endrick (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) scored her third goal of the season off an assist from Anna May Barbusca (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) in the 49th minute, but it wasn't enough to recover from a three-goal deficit.

Kent State scored just 45 seconds into the contest before building a 2-0 lead in the 11th minute. Kent State added an insurance goal seven minutes into the second half to ultimately put the game out of reach.

The Haven offense improved drastically in the second half, where they tripled their shots and created two additional penalty corner opportunities.
