MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – The Lock Haven field hockey team (4-10, 2-4 A-10) fell to Saint Louis (3-11, 1-5 A-10), 5-1, Friday (Oct. 20) in an Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) match played at the Sportport International facility in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
Lock Haven struck first, but Saint Louis scored five second-half goals including three in the fourth quarter, and the hosts picked up the late-season conference win.
Brooke Hofsass (Hershey, Pa./Lower Dauphin) put the Bald Eagles up 1-0 just 9:39 into the contest when she converted a penalty stroke.
Martina Spangenberg (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Piaget) finished with two shots and goalkeeper
Kelsey Felix (Hallam, Pa./Eastern York) made six saves in 47-plus minutes of action.
For Saint Louis, the five goals came from five different players.
