UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Lock Haven field hockey team (5-11, 2-5 A-10) fell to No. 20 Massachusetts (12-6, 5-2 A-10), 3-0, this afternoon (Oct. 27) in an Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) match played at Penn State's Field Hockey Complex.
UMass scored a late first-half goal and led 2-0 at halftime on the way to the conference victory.
For Lock Haven, goalkeeper
Kelsey Felix (Hallam, Pa./Eastern York) stood strong and she finished with an eight-save effort.
Martina Spangenberg (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Piaget) turned in a notable effort and
Alyssa Endrick (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) nearly put Lock Haven on the board with minutes to go in the game, but her strong shot was turned away by a sensational save from UMass goalkeeper Myrte Van Herwijnen.
Dempsey Campbell scored two of the three goals for Massachusetts.

The Bald Eagles will close the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 29 vs. Sacred Heart. Sunday's non-conference match is set for a 12 p.m. start and will serve as The Haven's 2023 Senior Day.
