LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven volleyball team (10-8, 4-5 PSAC East) fell to visiting and first-place East Stroudsburg (17-5, 9-0 PSAC East), 3-0 (15-25, 20-25 & 25-23), Friday (Oct. 27) night in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action.
Despite the loss, the rejuvenated Bald Eagles battled hard and were edged out in each of the three sets. The third set proved to be a thriller, but a narrow, 25-23, ESU win helped East Stroudsburg secure the straight-set victory.
With the win, the Warriors remained unbeaten in PSAC East play and sit atop the Eastern Division standings.
Leading the way tonight for Lock Haven was
Kelly Gaston (Centennial, Colo./Grandview) who racked up a total of 32 assists, four kills and seven digs.
Juniors
Alyssa Daley (Everett, Pa./Everett) and
Evie Jane Rembold (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) led the team in kills tonight with 12 and eight, respectively.
Natalie Acevedo (Camuy, Puerto Rico/Paula Freire Social Justice Charter School) led the team in digs with nine and three aces.
