BOSTON – Competing among an elite field today (Friday, Feb. 10) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University, the Lock Haven University men's indoor track and field team opened a busy weekend with a season-best performance in the distance medley relay.
Lock Haven ran 10:17.06 in the DMR and the season-best performance helped the Bald Eagles finish 22
nd of 31 in the event.
Overall, the Bald Eagles will compete at three different meets today and tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 11).
Several Lock Haven athletes competed today at the River Hawk Friday Night Showdown, hosted by Susquehanna University.
Leading the way today at Susquehanna was
Kevin Taylor (Bellefonte, Pa./Erie County Home Schoolers) who placed third in the pole vault with a mark of 12-11.75.
The bulk of the men's competition at the elite Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational is tomorrow. Tomorrow will be busy for the Bald Eagles as a number of athletes will also be in action at the Gordon Kelly Invitational, hosted by MIT.
