WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – After a scheduled day off yesterday, the Lock Haven University softball team (7-5) returned to the field today (Monday, March 13) in Florida, and the Bald Eagles completed the two-game sweep, edging out Felician in game one, 7-5, before dropping Saint Michael's, 12-4, in five innings.  
In game one versus Felician, the Bald Eagles scored seven runs on 10 hits and jumped on Felician early, scoring two runs in the first and second inning. Rianna Trexler (Bellefonte, Pa./Bellefonte) started LHU off with a two-RBI single in the first inning.   
Highlighting the offense in the win was Delaney Good (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg), who recorded an inside-the-park home run in the second inning.  
Four different players recorded multiple-hit games including Good who was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Riley McClellan (Granville Summit, Pa./Troy) was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and Bella Schmitt (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York) went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Trexler finished with a pair of hits.  
Pitcher Jada Schellhammer (Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua) picked up the win and Kinley Gioglio (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) recorded a save.  
In game two today, Saint Michael's took an early 3-0 lead, but the Bald Eagles rallied quickly and in dominant fashion on the way to the five-inning, 12-4, win.  
The Bald Eagles 12 runs came off 13 hits.  
R. McClellan hit a home run and Good was stellar once again at the plate. Good was 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs.  
Summer Peters (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) was 3-for-3 with three runs scored, and Schmitt had another two-hit game in the big win.  
It was a massive and exciting eight-run second-inning that fueled the lopsided victory.  
Madison Waltman (Turbotville, Pa./Warrior Run) pitched well and earned the win after throwing for 4 2/3 innings.

The Bald Eagles will close their Spring Break trip to Florida tomorrow (Tuesday, March 14) with games vs. D'Youville and Salem at 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., respectively.
