SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team (2-5, 1-2 PSAC West) fell to Slippery Rock University (5-2, 1-1 PSAC West), 17-9, this afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division action.
Despite the final result, a number of Bald Eagles stood out.
Abby Katrinak (Strongsville, Ohio/ Strongsville),
Emma Williams (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley), and
Emma Schiemer (Prince Frederick, Md./Huntingtown) each scored twice.
Josey Shaffer (Westminster, Md./Manchester Valley),
Gracie Chaires (Darlington, Md./Harford Technical), and
Nadia Baskot (Damascus, Md./Damascus) added goals for Lock Haven. Shaffer also had two assists, three ground balls, and three draw controls.
Baskot turned in a standout individual effort. Along with her goal, she also had five ground balls, five caused turnovers, and four draw controls.
Brianna Cook (Lake Worth, Fla./Park Vista Community) finished with four ground balls and she was credited with two caused turnovers.

Dana Mirigliano (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) finished with 14 saves.
Slippery Rock held a narrow 7-6 lead at halftime, but the hosts pulled away in the second half for the PSAC West win.
