LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University baseball team (9-8, 3-4 PSAC East) fell to visiting Kutztown University (13-8, 1-3 PSAC East), 4-1, today in game-one of a three-game Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division series.
Kutztown scored four runs on eight hits and Lock Haven plated a run late in the game on five total hits in the scheduled nine-inning game.
Trailing 4-0 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth,
Gavin Troutman (Boyertown, Pa./Oley Valley) looked to spark a rally when he singled in a run, but it was all the Bald Eagles could tack on late.
Troutman finished with three hits.
Kutztown pitcher Jack Skrocki was a big part of the storyline as he struck out seven and scattered four hits over seven total innings on the way to the win.
Lock Haven starting pitcher
Aedan Walter (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) struck out five, issued one walk, scattered six hits, and allowed just one earned run over five and 2/3 innings.

Lock Haven and Kutztown were originally scheduled to play two tomorrow (Saturday, March 25) at Kutztown, but the doubleheader has been postponed, and moved to Sunday, March 26. Game one Sunday is set for a noon start.
