MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Lock Haven University softball team (18-16, 8-10 PSAC East) split a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division doubleheader today at Mansfield University (10-20, 1-17 PSAC East). Host Mansfield edged out Lock Haven 6-5 in game one, but the Bald Eagles bounced back with a convincing 12-3 victory in six innings in game two.

In game one, leadoff-batter Delaney Good (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) had another impressive outing. She was 3-for-4 with a run scored. Sydney Arrigale (Blackwood, N.J./Highland Regional) added two hits in game one as Lock Haven scored five runs on 10 hits.
 
In the bottom of the third inning, Arrigale singled in a run and made it 5-0, but the host Mounties rallied late.
 
Game 2 Recap: Lock Haven 12 – Mansfield 3 (6 innings)
 
The Bald Eagles earned the split with a dominating game-two victory. Lock Haven needed just six innings to score 12 runs on 11 hits.
 
Arrigale impressed at the plate all day and in game two, she was 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Haley Lestician (Lawrenceville, N.J./Lawrence) went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Riley McClellan (Granville Summit, Pa./Troy) drove in three runs on a double and Kerri McCallum (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) hit a two-run home run.
 
Kinley Gioglio (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) was once again brilliant in relief and she picked up on the win after pitching two and 2/3 innings. She allowed just one hit and struck out six.

The Bald Eagles are set to host West Chester on Friday, April 14 in what will be Lock Haven's annual "Knock MS Out of the Park" Day. Game one Friday vs. West Chester is scheduled for 2 p.m.
