LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven baseball team (18-18, 6-12 PSAC East) dropped a pair of extra-inning games today to visiting Mansfield (12-25, 3-15 PSAC East) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action.
 
Mansfield won game one, 3-2 in nine innings and the Mounties won game two, 6-5 in eight innings.
 
Between games today, Lock Haven head coach

Game 1 Recap: Mansfield 3 - Lock Haven 2 (9 innings)
 
Mansfield edged out Lock Haven 3-2 in a game-one, extra-inning thriller. The Mounties found the game-winning run in the top of the ninth as Lock Haven's ninth-inning rally fell short.
 
Troutman had two hits in game one, Ramirez had a double, and both Nepert and Shannon drove in runs.
 
Shannon put Lock Haven up 1-0 in the first inning on an RBI-single. Nepert's sacrifice-fly in the seventh tied the game at 2-2.
 
Game 2 Recap: Mansfield 6 – Lock Haven 5 (8 innings)
 
Mansfield completed the sweep with a second straight extra-inning win.
 
Brendan Jordan (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy (Bucks County CC)) homered in game two and Troutman had a triple. Troutman finished game two with three total hits and three RBIs, and 
Francisco Taveras (Muhlenberg, Pa./Muhlenberg (Lehigh Carbon CC)) had two hits.
 
Trailing 5-3, Jordan's solo homer in the sixth cut into the Mansfield lead at 5-4. In the bottom of the seventh, Nepert doubled in the tying run to force extras.
 
A Marcus Nales home run in the eighth proved to be the difference for Mansfield.
