SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The Lock Haven baseball team (19-19, 7-13 PSAC East) split a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division doubleheader today on the road at Shepherd (25-20, 8-15 PSAC East). The Bald Eagles rallied for a split thanks to a 5-2 game-two victory. Shepherd won the opener 2-1.
Game 1 Recap: Shepherd 2 – Lock Haven 1
Shepherd edged out the Bald Eagles 2-1 in a tight game one. Both teams registered three hits including a Lock Haven home run from
Brendan Jordan (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy (Bucks County CC)) in the fourth inning.
Jordan's homer tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the fourth, but the Rams found the winning run in the bottom of the sixth.
Over six innings, Lock Haven starting pitcher
Kevin Worek (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Abington) struck out seven and allowed just three hits. Shepherd starter Trevor Sharp was impressive as well and finished with nine strikeouts in a fast-pace game one today.

The Bald Eagles scored five runs on 10 hits in game two.
Zach Kaatz (Stafford, Va./Mountain View) hit a home run in the fifth inning and
Gavin Troutman (Boyertown, Pa./Oley Valley) finished with three hits (3-for-5, RBI). Jordan added two hits and an RBI in game two.
Pitcher
Aedan Walter (Milford, Pa./Delaware Valley) put together an outstanding outing. He went the distance in the scheduled nine-inning game two. Walter struck out nine and didn't allow a walk while limiting Shepherd to just six hits.

Tomorrow's (Wed., May 3) home game with Shepherd has been canceled because of the weather and field conditions.
Please note, there has also been a schedule change for the final series of the regular season. Lock Haven will return to action and head to East Stroudsburg on Thursday, May 4 for a 1 p.m. game, before hosting the Warriors on Friday, May 5 at 12 p.m. (DH: 12/2:30 p.m.).
