PHILADELPHIA – The Lock Haven men's outdoor track and field team was in action today at Penn Relays, held at the University of Pennsylvania's historic Franklin Field.
Individually,
Justice Shoats (Wilkes Barre, Pa./Holy Redeemer) competed in the long jump and high jump, and the Bald Eagles competed in three relay events.
Shoats finished sixth in the long jump with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship qualifying mark of 23-05.25. He was 23
rd in the high jump with a leap of 6-01.5.
Jimmy Pombor (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport),
Michael Lawrence (Blakeslee, Pa./Pocono Mountain West),
Austin Kravetz (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) and Shoats ran 43.08 in the college men's Eastern 4x100-meter relay. The Bald Eagles finished eighth in today's prelims.
In the men's Eastern 4x400-meter relay,
Matthew Muthler (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts),
Aydan Summers (Altoona, Pa./Altoona),
Ryan Miller (Bradford, Pa./Bradford) and
Kylie Scott-Harper (Chester, Pa./Chester) ran 3:26.37. Lock Haven was 12
th of 22 teams.
Behind Lawrence, Harper, Miller and
Morgan Gavitt (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville), Lock Haven finished ninth of 18 with a time of 3:34.03 in the sprint medley relay championship of America.

Several throwers will represent the Bald Eagles on Sunday, April 30 at the Bloomsburg Maroon & Gold Invitational. Please note, Sunday's throwing events will be held at Bucknell University.
