SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's outdoor track and field team opened the 2023 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Championships today (Thurs., May 11).
After day one (*5 events),
Matthew Muthler (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) sits fifth of 16 in the decathlon with 3,302 points. His best day-one performance came in the high jump where he was second with a mark of 6-04. In the final event today, Muthler placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.89.
Ethan Rogers (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) finished 11
th in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 33:03.27. He entered the day seeded 16
th, but finished 11
th of 21 overall in the championship field.
Nathan Fetchkan (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) and
Nathan Govern (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) finished 13
th and 14
th in the hammer throw with marks of 147-00 and 146-11, respectively.
