SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – With the cool, wet and rainy weather outside, the Lock Haven tennis team (2-0) took on Clarion (1-2) indoors as the two teams met today (Sunday, Sept. 24) at the Central PA Tennis Center in South Williamsport, Pa.. The Bald Eagles battled the Golden Eagles to a 4-3 victory.
In singles play,
Mia Shuler (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) defeated Davon Lion at the top spot, winning the first two sets, 6-4. With the victory, Shuler moves to 2-0 on the season.
Mary Kathryn Hillman (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport), took down Alyson Fisher 6-3, 6-2, earning Hillman her first singles victory of the season at No. 3.
At No. 5 singles,
Olivia Sharp (York, Pa./York County School of Technology) downed Polia Vladeva, winning both sets, 6-2. Sharp also improves to 2-0.
Natalie Brown (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) took a win by forfeit, moving the Bald Eagles singles-point total to four, which ultimately led to the victory.
In doubles, the Golden Eagles took the overall point by winning two of three doubles matches.

Lock Haven are right back at it tomorrow (Monday, Sept. 25) at 4:30 p.m. when the Bald Eagles host Penn College.
