LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven field hockey team scored twice in the second half to take a 2-1 lead, but Saint Francis scored late in the fourth quarter before netting the game-winner in overtime to steal a 3-2 non-conference victory at Charlotte Smith Field on Sunday afternoon (Oct. 13).
After trailing 1-0 through 42 minutes of play, the Bald Eagles knotted the game at 1-1 when
Deana Campbell found the back of the cage off a lead pass by
Melanie Beall.
Lock Haven followed with its second goal of the contest in the seventh minute of the fourth quarter when Beall fired a missile to the top-shelf of the cage, giving the Bald Eagles a 2-1 advantage.
However, Saint Francis scored the equalizer with 2:55 remaining to send the game into overtime.
The Red Flash rode the momentum into overtime and scored the game winner two minutes into the extra period to clinch the victory.

Kelsey Felix finished with three saves in 61 minutes.
The Haven finished with seven shots in the game, led by two each from
Brooke Hofsass and Gractn Catalano.
Beall led the scoring effort with three points after scoring her fourth goal and dishing out her first assist on the season. Campbell added her first goal of the year.
The Bald Eagles move to 2-12 on the season, while Saint Francis improves to 8-5.
