AMHERST, Mass. – The Lock Haven field hockey team (2-13, 1-4 A-10) fell to No. 14 Massachusetts (12-3, 5-0 A-10), 3-0, on the road Friday (Oct. 18) afternoon in Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) play.
UMass led 1-0 at halftime and the hosts scored twice in the third quarter to remain undefeated in conference play.
Lock Haven goalkeeper
Kelsey Felix finished with eight saves, while
Madison Friend and
Alyssa Endrick looked to spark the attack.
Elena Cloconeanu was a big part of the story today as she finished with two goals for UMass.
This marked the only match of the weekend for the Bald Eagles who will return to action next week at Davidson. The A-10 contest vs. the Wildcats is set for 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25.
Lock Haven will round out play next weekend with a Sunday, Oct. 27 non-conference match at Queens (N.C.).
