Baseball drops twinbill at #6 Millersville

The Bald Eagles traveled to nationally-ranked Millersville for a PSAC East twinbill on Saturday afternoon.

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven baseball team (6-22, 3-13 PSAC East) fell twice to No. 6 Millersville (23-5, 13-1 PSAC East), 14-0 and 3-1, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division road doubleheader on Saturday (March 30).
 
Saturday concludes the Bald Eagles' four-game PSAC East series with Millersville.
 
Game 1 Recap: Millersville 14, Lock Haven 0
The Marauders led 12-4 in hits and jumped out to an early lead and never looked back on their way to a 14-0 victory in game one.
 
Francisco Taveras (Muhlenberg, Pa./Mulenberg), Greg Cristino (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield), Zachary McEllroy (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) and Cam Gracey (York, Pa./Spring Grove) recorded hits for The Haven.

Game 2 Recap: Millersville 3, Lock Haven 1
The Bald Eagles quieted the Marauders to just three runs, while matching Millersville with six hits, but Lock Haven scored its lone run in the seventh inning.
 
Will Stambaugh (Camp Hill, Pa./Cedar Cliff) pitched a gem against the sixth-best team in the country Millersville, allowing just two earned runs, while striking out a pair in six-complete innings of work.
 
Six different Bald Eagles found the hit column, led by doubles from Taveras, Jaxon Pupo (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County) and Nick White (Halethorpe, Md./Lansdowne).
