LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven baseball team is set to open its 2024 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division schedule by taking on No. 24 East Stroudsburg in a four-game series.
 
The Bald Eagles kick off the series at home for the first time this season on Friday, March 8 with a noon doubleheader. Lock Haven will then travel to East Stroudsburg on Sunday (March 10) for a road doubleheader also starting at noon.
 
The Haven enters the weekend with a 3-7 overall record after its opening spring training schedule.
 
Gavin Neal leads the offense with a .292 batting average, while Greg Cristino has 10 hits and 11 RBIs through 10 games.
 
The pitching staff has gone 11 players deep and is headlined by Matt Lingenfelter, who enters the weekend with a 3.38 ERA through a team-high 16 innings, while striking out a team-high 18 hitters.
 
East Stroudsburg has earned the No. 24 ranking in the country after starting the season 7-3 overall. ESU is 3-0 at home, 3-2 on the road and 1-1 at neutral sites.
 
The Warriors are powered by a .300 team batting average and a powerful offense that has put up 70 runs.
