Bloomsburg Maroon & Gold Invitational: Full Results
BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's outdoor track and field team closed the 2024 regular season today (Saturday, April 27) with a busy effort that saw the Bald Eagles at three different meets.
Penn Relays:
Morgan Gavitt (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville),
Matthew Muthler (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts),
Ryan Miller (Bradford, Pa./Bradford) and
Aydan Summers (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) were in action tonight in the College Men's 4x400 Eastern finals at Penn Relays. They finished fourth of seven teams with a season-best time of 3:18.27. As of press time, it is the fastest time this season in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Last night, they qualified for the finals with an effort of 3:22.15.
Bloomsburg Maroon & Gold Invitational:
With the majority of the team in action today at Bloomsburg, the Bald Eagles hit a number of PSAC championship qualifying marks, and The Haven took home a number of victories.
Josiah Schans (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) was a double-winner on the day with victory in the high jump (6-02, #PSAC) and 110-meter hurdles (15.63).
Justice Shoats (Wilkes Barre, Pa./Holy Redeemer) won the 100-meter dash (11.29), and the Bald Eagles went 1-2 in the 200-meter dash, behind the strong efforts of
Brennan Miller (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) and
Jaden Wright (Ulster, Pa./Athens), who ran 22.97 and 23,13, respectively.
The Bald Eagles also went 1-2 in the triple jump - thanks to
Chase Young (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) and
Michael Lawrence (Blakeslee, Pa./Pocono Mountain West), who jumped 42-02.25 and 41-07.75, respectively.
Eric Zalar (Shamokin, Pa./Shamokin) and
Nathan Fetchkan (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) finished second (156-07, #PSAC) and third (143-01) in the hammer throw.
Braedon Firanski (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield) and Zalar both hit PSAC marks in the discus throw with marks of 147-03 and 142-03, respectively.
Jacob Watson (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) added a third-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles (1:02.55).
Lock Haven went 1-2 in the 4x100-meter relay and the Bald Eagles were third in the 4x4 at Bloomsburg.
Shippensburg Paul Kaiser Classic:
Anthony Solis (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) was one of several Bald Eagles who competed today at Shippensburg's Paul Kaiser Classic. He qualified for the PSAC Championship with a run of 33:18.60 at 10,000 meters. Solid was third of 10 finishers in the race.
Mason Ochs (Oakmont, Pa./Riverview) was third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:23.10).

Lock Haven will return to action at the 2024 PSAC Championship, scheduled for May 3-5 (Fri. – Sun.) at Shippensburg University.
