LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – For the first time since 2018, the Lock Haven lacrosse team is heading to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship Tournament and will travel to Western Division No. 2 seeded Slippery Rock on Tuesday afternoon (May 7).
Tuesday's quarterfinal contest will take place at Slippery Rock University's Mihalik-Thompson Stadium at 4 p.m.
Lock Haven locked up the third seed out of the Western Division after having its best season in six years, finishing with a 14-3 overall record and 9-3 mark in the PSAC West.
The Bald Eagles, who ranked as high as No. 15 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine National Pool this season, are ranked as a top-six team in the Atlantic Region heading into the postseason.
Lock Haven racked up six wins in front of the home crowd, but it is their 8-1 road mark that led the charge.
Lock Haven is seeking its first PSAC Championship Title since 2015, while Slippery Rock is seeking its first Conference Championship.

SENIOR LEADERSHIP
Lock Haven, who is no stranger to the postseason historically, is heading to the conference tournament for the first time since 2018.
Without question, the success this season starts with the senior class of
Josey Shaffer,
Abby Katrinak,
Abby Hampson,
Dana Mirigliano,
Maddy Lapiana and
Kelsey Schultz.
The group helped vault the Bald Eagles to the top of the Western Division after finishing in sixth place in 2023.
Lock Haven, who sat atop the Western Division standings at multiple points throughout the year, notched its first 14-win season since 2016.

The Bald Eagles brought home five PSAC West Athlete of the Week honors in 2024, with three coming on defense and two on offense.
