LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Lock Haven tennis team earned a 6-1 victory over visiting Penn College on Sunday, Sept. 22.
The Bald Eagles swept the doubles matches.
Megan Ferris and
Alaina Marchioni won 6-1 over Emlyn Kinley and Faith Murray.
Gianna Balchun and
Maggie Blasetti defeated Kayla Weinzierl and Gwynn Johnson, 6-1.
Maci Rohrbach and
Hope Lapinski won by forfeit.
Lock Haven won five of six singles matches. Ferris swept Kinley 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 1 match. Marchioni won the No. 3 singles match 6-2 and 6-1 over Weinzierl.
Rohrbach and Lapinski won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0 over Johnson and Sariach Saintpaul, respectively. Balchun won the No. 6 singles match by forfeit.
Lock Haven improves to 1-2 while Penn College drops to 0-2.
