SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's soccer team opened its 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division schedule by traveling to Slippery Rock on Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 1) and the Bald Eagles took The Rock to the Wire, before falling 1-0.
The Rock scored the game-winning goal in the 50
th minute and posted a shutout to secure the victory.
The Haven defense was strong from start to finish and allowed just one goal despite The Rock leading the contest in shots, 12-6.

Ethan Beck finished with a game-high eight saves in 90 minutes.
On the attack,
Carter Rosno and
Kholifa Sankoh finished with a team-high two shots, while Rosno and
Austen Veach recorded the lone shots on goal.
On Tuesday (Sept. 30) afternoon, Lock Haven jumped into the United Soccer Coaches NCAA DII Atlantic Region top-10 rankings at No. 9 on the list.
With the result, The Haven moves to 4-4-1 overall and 0-1 in the PSAC West, while Slippery Rock improves to 3-3-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.
