LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven men's soccer team soared past California (Pa) with an impressive 4-1 victory on its home turf on Saturday (Oct. 4) over.
Before the game, seniors
Ryan Miller and
Kevin Magallanes were honored as part of Senior Day.
The Bald Eagles improve to 5-4-1 overall and 1-1 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division play.
The scoring started for the Bald Eagles after a 39
th-minute goal from
Noah Brady, assisted by
Billy Lawrence.
The Bald Eagles outshot the Vulcans (2-5-1, 0-2 PSAC West) 12-3 in the first half.
Coming out of the break,
Kade Black scored an unassisted goal in the 49
th minute to extend The Haven's lead to 2-0.
Javier Contreras Leon added a goal from an assist by
Camden Marquette in the 73
rd minute. Shortly after, Marquette found the back of the net thanks to a
Danny Ogan assist in the 74
th minute.
Lock Haven finished the game outshooting Cal 23-12, with 10 shots on goal.
Ethan Beck continued his strong season in goal, adding two saves and did not allow a goal in 74 minutes of action.
