LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven field hockey team hosted Penn State University at Charlotte Smith Field in non-conference action on Friday afternoon, Oct. 24. The Nittany Lions won the contest 8-0.

The contest between the two local schools is the first since 2016.

After surrendering four goals in the opening few minutes, The Haven defense held Nittany Lions off the scoreboard all the way until the closing minutes of the third quarter.

The Bald Eagles finished with 14 combined saves from
Kelsey Felix and
Taryn Dolka. Felix made a game-high eight saves in the opening 45 minutes, while Dolka had a stella final 15 minutes where she made six saves, including several from point-blank range.
Molly Lynch also finished with a season-high two defensive saves.

The Haven finished with seven shots, including two on goal coming from
Madison Friend and
Melanie Beall.

Friday's contest was the first of the final two non-conference games for The Haven in 2025.

The Haven hits the road for its final Atlantic 10 contest of the season and will visit Saint Louis on Sunday, Oct. 26 at noon.

Lock Haven will conclude the season by hosting Mercyhurst for Senior Day on Sunday (Nov. 2) in non-conference action at Charlotte Smith Field at noon.
