EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven volleyball team fell in four sets to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division leader East Stroudsburg 3-1 (25-22, 19-25, 14-25, 18-25) on Friday night (Oct. 31) on the road.

The Bald Eagles (8-15, 4-5 PSAC East) started strong, hitting .484 in the opening set victory behind six kills from
Maddie Mitchell and five from freshman
Avery Smith. However, East Stroudsburg (18-5, 8-2 PSAC East) responded and pulled away by winning the final three sets.

Lock Haven finished with 54 kills on a .227 hitting percentage for the night, while the Warriors hit .325 as a team and recorded 48 kills.?

Mitchell sparked the offense for Lock Haven with a match-high 17 kills, adding five digs and four block assists.

Sophomore
Lola Coulter contributed 11 kills, while
Payton Stanton delivered nine kills on a .467 hitting clip to go along with two blocks.

Madelyn Wagner paced Lock Haven with 23 assists and
Gabby Gealey chipped in with 22 assists and five digs.
Olivia Taylor anchored the defense, finishing with a team-high 20 digs.?

Natalie Acevedo notched two service aces for the Bald Eagles, and Wagner, Taylor, and Smith each added one.
