Women’s Basketball tops Millersville for important late-season win

Bald Eagles down Millersville on the road in crucial late-season PSAC East clash

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lock Haven women's basketball team picked up an important late-season Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division win today (Saturday, Feb. 22) at Millersville (15-11, 10-9 PSAC), downing the Marauders, 54-47.
 
With the win, Lock Haven improved to 18-7 overall and 13-6 in PSAC East action.
 
At 13-6, the Bald Eagles remain at the top of the PSAC Eastern Division standings with two conference games remaining in the regular season.
 
Alana Robinson led the way with 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Madeline Evans scored 12 points and recorded eight rebounds.
 
Kiera Baughman and Jenadia Jordan each scored eight points, and Rhlyn Rouse added nine points. Jordan also had eight rebounds in the win.
 
With the victory, Lock Haven secured the regular season sweep of Millersville and extended its win streak to four.
 
Up Next for Lock Haven:
With just two regular season games remaining and a spot in the PSAC Tournament already locked up, the Bald Eagles will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at home vs. Bloomsburg. The game will mark Lock Haven's 2025 Senior Day and is set for a 5:30 p.m. start.
 
Earlier this week, the Bald Eagles found themselves listed in the first edition of the 2024-25 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Women's Basketball rankings. The rankings are an important tool used to select the field for the NCAA Tournament and Lock Haven was listed as one of seven PSAC teams under consideration.
