LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven baseball team fell twice to Gannon 5-3 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division doubleheader on Friday afternoon at Watkins Field.

Lock Haven moves to 15-27 on the season and 5-15 in the PSAC West. Gannon improved to 18-23 overall and 10-12 in the conference.

In game one, Gannon built a 3-0 advantage through the opening four innings of play.

Lock Haven broke through with a solo run in the fifth following a well-executed first-and-third steal play that allowed Jacob Ambrosio to score.
Â
Gannon, however, plated two insurance runs in the top of the sixth to extend its lead to 5-1.

Lock Haven rallied for a pair of runs during its last at bat thanks to a 2-RBI single by
Bryce Vincent, but Gannon recorded the final outs to clinch the win.

Morgan Billotte and
Joseph DeSiena both finished with two hits.
Â
Despite the loss,
Garrett Starr provided a quality start as he battled through six innings and was charged with four earned runs. The senior struck out four.

Matt Lingenfelter pitched a scoreless inning in relief.

In the nightcap, it was Lock Haven who took the early lead as they scored a run in the bottom of the first off an RBI from
Stephen McMillan.

Bald Eagle starter
Jason Labrador held the Golden Knights scoreless through two innings, but Gannon rallied for five runs over the third and fourth frames to jump out to another 5-1 lead.
Â
Kaden Rodarmel singled to plate two Haven runs in the bottom of the fourth, but Gannon did not surrender another run from there to close out the sweep.

Six different Bald Eagles recorded hits, while DeSiena,
Zachary McEllroy and Vincent all doubled.
Â
Brady Myers threw three scoreless innings in relief and finished with three strikeouts.

Next up for The Haven:
The Bald Eagles will travel to Gannon on Saturday (April 26) for a 1 p.m. PSAC West doubleheader.
