LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven tennis team fell to visiting Kutztown, 6-1, today (Saturday, Sept. 20) at home on the Lock Haven Tennis Courts.
Alaina Marchioni prevented the shutout thanks to a dominating victory at No. 3 singles. Marchioni won 6-1, 6-4.
Megan Ferris battled hard at No. 1 singles and the duo of
Maci Rohrbach and
Breanna Chicas was edged out in a hard-fought clash at No. 2 doubles.
Lock Haven is now 1-2 on the season.
The match marked Lock Haven's second in two days and third in the last four.
The Bald Eagles were coming off a 5-2 victory over Penn College yesterday (Friday, Sept. 19), and that Friday win came after The Haven opened the fall slate Wednesday (Sept. 17) at home vs. Bloomsburg.
