LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven tennis team hosted Penn State Altoona in a non-conference match at the Lock Haven Tennis Courts on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 28).

PSU Altoona won the match 5-2.

Megan Ferris and
Alaina Marchioni teamed up at No. 1 doubles to take down Caitlin Blessel and Rachel Stricek by a score of 6-2.

However, PSU Altoona won the final two doubles matches to take the match point.

In singles play, Ferris earned her second victory of the day with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Blessel in No. 1 singles.

Marchioni also earned a pair of wins on the afternoon after defeating Lexi Colaianni at the No. 2 spot in an exciting 6-5 (7-5, 1-6, 11-9) match.

Altoona won the final four singles matches to round out the scoring.

The Bald Eagles are now 1-3 this fall and Penn State Altoona moves to 7-1.
