LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven volleyball team closed its weekend at the Bald Eagle Classic with an exciting five set thriller vs. Goldey-Beacom on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 20 in front of the home crowd inside Thomas Fieldhouse. Goldey-Beacom took the clinching set to steal a 3-2 (25-22, 20-25, 24-26, 25-17, 14-16).
The Bald Eagle Classic is a two-day event hosted by Lock Haven and features Glenville State, Goldey-Beacom, Edinboro and Bloomsburg.

Lock Haven opened strong, taking the first set 25-10 behind a dominant .325 hitting percentage and 19 team kills, but Goldey-Beacom (5-7) responded by claiming the next two frames, 25-11 and 25-14.
The Bald Eagles rallied to force a decisive fifth set with a gritty 25-12 fourth-set win, but the Lightning edged out a narrow 15-13 victory in the final set.
Maddie Mitchell paced Lock Haven with 22 kills and added nine digs, while
Gracelynn Wolzen chipped in 15 kills.
Natalie Acevedo was sharp from the service line, firing six of the team's 14 aces. Setter
Madelyn Wagner piloted the attack with 36 assists, and Taylor anchored the defense with her 36 digs.
Lock Haven closes the weekend with a 2-7 overall record on the season.
