LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Sydney Linus scored to give the Lock Haven women's soccer team an early lead, but Millersville scored two unanswered goals to steal a 2-1 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) victory at Hubert Jack Stadium on Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 24).
The Haven struck quickly and took a 1-0 lead in just the eighth minute when Linus found the back of the net off an assist from
Bryn Constanzer.
The Haven defense was tested often over the ensuing 35 minutes and held off three Maurader shots on goal, however, Millersville connected for the equalizer in the 42nd minute to knot the score at 1-1 heading into the break.
Millersville took its first lead of the game, 2-1, just seven minutes into the second half.
The Haven defense remained strong from there, despite facing a game-high 14 shots, but the Bald Eagles couldn't find the answer and Millersville held on for the victory.
In net,
Megan Miller made a game-high eight saves.
Gianna Gamble led The Haven with three shots.
The Haven is now 2-3-2 overall and 0-3-1 in the PSAC East. Millersville improved to 3-3-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the conference.

The Haven remains home and is set to host West Chester at Hubert Jack Stadium on Saturday (Sept. 27) at 7 p.m. in a PSAC Eastern Division match.
