UPDATED: Baseball opens 2026 season with four games at Glenville State

Bald Eagles open 2026 season on the road at Glenville State Friday and Saturday.

GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Lock Haven baseball team opened the 2026 season Friday (Feb. 20) and Saturday (Feb. 21) at Glenville State with doubleheader action each day.
 
Below you'll find the box score and recap from each of the four games.
 
Game 1 (Friday, Feb. 20): Box Score
Lock Haven dropped the 2026 season opener Friday, 9-4.
 
Three different Bald Eagles found the hit column, led by a 2-for-3 (2B) effort from Robert Furino, who also scored a run.
 
Braden Cummings, Jackson Bower and Kaden Rodarmel drove in runs.
 
Holden Ward led the pitching staff with a scoreless frame in relief.
 
Game 2 (Friday, Feb. 20): Box Score
The Bald Eagles led 3-2 through four innings, but Glenville State scored unanswered runs in the fifth and sixth innings to steal a 4-3 victory in the nightcap.
 
Lock Haven's offense led 7-5 in hits, while the defense didn't commit an error.
 
Cummings powered the offense by going 4-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.
 
Nick Negola blasted hist first home run with a solo shot in the fourth. 
 
Brady Myers provided a quality start on the bump, tossing six-complete innings, while striking out eight and allowing four earned runs. 
 
Game 3 (Saturday, Feb. 21): Box Score
Saturday's play opened with The Haven earning its first victory of the season after using an eight-run top of the fourth to secure a 9-4 come-from-behind win.
 
Lock Haven opened the scoring in the second with and RBI sacrifice fly from Negola, but Glenville State countered by putting up four runs in the bottom of the fourth.
 
However, the Bald Eagles erupted for eight runs during their next at-bat to go ahead 9-4 and never looked back.
 
Five different Bald Eagles secured hits, while Cayden Robertson finished 2-for-3 with two runs and Negola drove in a team-high two runs.
 
Nate Mostosky picked up the win in relief after tossing 2.1 scoreless frames.
 
Game 4 (Saturday, Feb. 21): Box Score
Glenville State secured the series win with a 9-0 victory in game four.
 
Up Next for Lock Haven:
The Bald Eagles will return to action on Friday, Feb. 27 with a game against Fairmont State in Morgantown, West Virginia. It will mark the first of three games scheduled for next weekend.
