INDIANA, Pa. –  The Lock Haven baseball team kicked off its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West series against Indiana (Pa.) on the road on Friday. IUP swept the doubleheader, 8-6 and 10-2.
Game One: Indiana (Pa.) 8 – Lock Haven 6
Lock Haven got the bats going in the top of the second as Tom Rohan connected for a two-run big fly to give The Haven an early lead.
However, IUP scored seven unanswered to jump to a 7-2 lead by the fourth inning, before Cayden Robertson deposited his fourth homer of the year, cutting the lead 7-3.
Three batters later, Jerry Lambert launched his second homer of the season, this one a two run shot, to bring The Haven within two.
The Crimson Hawks scratched an insurance run late to extend their lead to 8-5.
Zachary McEllroy and Kellen Jackson's back-to-back doubles in the seventh brought The Haven's deficit to 8-6, but IUP escaped to seal the victory.

Game Two: Indiana (Pa.) 10 – Lock Haven 3
 In the nightcap, IUP led 2-0 after two innings, but back-to-back RBI doubles by McEllroy and Robert Furino knotted the score at 2-2.
The score remained tied until the fifth inning, when IUP erupted for seven runs to pull away in the final stages.
Cayde McCloskey drove in the other run for The Haven in the seventh off a single.
Braden Cummings (3-for-3) and McEllroy both finished with multiple hits, respectively.
On the mound, Tyler Serb only allowed two earned runs through four innings of work until the late IUP rally.
